Locating your revenue report on the ATO online platforms via myGov or the ATO app.Your employer will furnish you with your end of year report in one of the following formats:
- an earnings statement – if your employer submits reports through Single Touch Payroll (STP)
- a payment summary – if your employer has not yet adopted STP, they will continue to provide you with a payment summary by 14 July.
Your employer will communicate whether you will be receiving an earnings statement or a payment summary. If uncertain, you should consult with them.
Payment summaries are not necessary if your employer reports through STP.
Your revenue report is accessible through the ATO online facilities on myGov or the ATO app. If you do not possess a myGov account, you will need to establish a myGov account and connect it to the ATO.
Most employers have until 14 July to conclude their data. Your employer will inform you if there are any delays in finalizing your revenue report.
In the event of multiple employersIf you have more than one employer, it is possible to receive both an earnings statement and a payment summary. You must ensure that the income from your payment summary is included in your tax return. If you file online, your payment summary details may be pre-filled, otherwise, you must input them manually.

Inaccurate revenue statementIn the event that your revenue statement contains incorrect information, you should communicate with your employer (or employers). If they have made an error, they can usually rectify it.

Income statements on ATO online platformsIf your employer reports through STP, you will be provided with an income statement.
You can locate your income statement on ATO online services through myGov or the ATO app. for further guidance, visit finding your income statement on ATO online services.
Your revenue report will display your year-to-date:
- earnings and salaries
- tax withheld
You must wait until your employer marks your income statement as 'Tax ready' before you begin preparing and submitting your tax return.
Employers have until 14 July to complete their information.
It is crucial that you refrain from using any information that is not labeled 'Tax ready' as your employer might finalize your income statement with different amounts.
If you submit your tax return before the statement is 'Tax ready', you might need to make amendments.

If your income statement is not Tax ready in ATO online services after 31 July, you will need to contact your employer.

Your agent will need to wait until the income statement is marked as Tax ready in order to prepare and submit your return.
