Explaining Discover New South Wales Vouchers

You've come to the right place if you're interested in learning more about the Dine & Discover NSW initiative being run by the State Government of New South Wales. We have a wealth of useful information that will assist you in getting the most out of the program.

Dine and Discover New South Wales has broadened its scope to include more vouchers that can be redeemed at an increased number of registered businesses. There are now four distinct types of redeemable vouchers, and residents of NSW are eligible to receive any one of the following:

  • 3 vouchers worth $25 each from Dine NSW, plus an additional voucher worth $25 from the same organization if you already had one.
  • 3 vouchers each worth $25 for Discover New South Wales, plus an additional voucher worth $25 for Discover New South Wales if you already have one.
  • 1 x $50 Stay NSW voucher
  • Vouchers in the amount of $50 each, to be given to residents of NSW who are eligible and whose children are enrolled in school

Residents of New South Wales who are at least 18 years old will soon be able to submit an application for a voucher worth $50 that can be applied toward the cost of lodging reservations. The inclusion of these vouchers is intended to assist in assisting accommodation providers and to assist you in going on your next vacation. These coupons are not yet available for registration, so make sure to check back later.

Vouchers purchased with Stay NSW can only be redeemed for the cost of accommodation (the cost of any other services or additional costs must be paid directly to the provider).

The accommodation must be booked through a provider who is a participant in the program.

Searching the Stay NSW business finder is another option for locating all registered businesses in the state.

When they become available, you will be required to register with Service NSW in order to receive a Stay NSW voucher. The registration period will begin around the middle of February 2022; check Service NSW frequently for any updates.

Voucher rules:

  • The voucher for Stay NSW can be redeemed seven days a week, including on all of the state holidays.
  • The Stay NSW voucher can only be redeemed at establishments that are participating in the program.
  • Only the cost of the room reservation can be covered by vouchers accepted at businesses.
  • Only one purchase can be made with the Stay NSW voucher. In the event that the total amount due is less than $50, the remaining balance will not be usable.
  • If the voucher is redeemed before the voucher's expiration date, businesses are able to accept vouchers for bookings that take place after the voucher's expiration date.
  • The vouchers are not redeemable for any other goods or services under any circumstances.
  • Before the 9th of October in 2022, the voucher must be used.
  • In exchange for a Stay NSW voucher, businesses are not permitted to offer cash, gift vouchers, or credit notes to customers.
  • Vouchers for Stay NSW and Parents NSW cannot be combined for a single booking, but vouchers for Stay NSW can be combined with vouchers for Parents NSW if the business in question accepts split billing.

The coupon will be in the form of a quick response code (QR code). A one-of-a-kind code will be printed on each voucher. The following are the different ways in which a registered Stay NSW provider can accept the code:

  • Within the Service NSW mobile application, on your mobile device, as a digital voucher. Sign into the app, and then navigate to the "vouchers" menu item to find the coupon.
  • In the form of a printed voucher that contains both a QR code and a unique voucher code
  • In the form of a PDF, complete with a QR code and a special voucher code
  • By way of a text message bearing a specific code
  • By providing the service provider with the one-of-a-kind voucher code

The State Government of New South Wales has announced the launch of additional vouchers for parents, carers, and guardians of school-enrolled children aged 4 to support learning at home in the year 2021. 5-18 years

Starting today, one member of each eligible household can submit an application for a total of $250 in vouchers, which come in the form of five $50 gift cards. On the website of Service NSW, applicants can submit their applications online.

Parents NSW vouchers can be redeemed at businesses that are registered with Discover NSW and Stay NSW for a variety of experiences, including those related to the arts, entertainment, and recreation.

  • Vouchers purchased through Parents NSW can be combined for a single booking, up to a maximum value of $250; however, these vouchers cannot be combined with vouchers purchased through Stay NSW or Discover NSW.

The coupon will be in the form of a quick response code (QR code). A one-of-a-kind code will be printed on each voucher. The following are some of the ways in which a provider who is registered with Stay NSW or Discover NSW can accept the code:

  • Within the Service NSW app on your mobile device, in the form of a digital voucher. To find the voucher, you will need to log in to the app and then select the "vouchers" option.
  • In the form of a printed voucher that contains both a QR code and a unique voucher code
  • By providing the service provider with the one-of-a-kind voucher code
  • By way of a text message bearing a specific code
  • In the form of a PDF, complete with a QR code and a special voucher code

2021 saw the introduction of vouchers called Dine & Discover NSW, which were designed to encourage patronage of local restaurants, galleries, and recreational spots. Dine and Discover New South Wales vouchers were increased from four to six per person as of the 26th of November, 2021. Vouchers are made available to residents of NSW who are at least 18 years old and can be redeemed at establishments registered in NSW.

There are two distinct sets of vouchers available for Dine & Discover New South Wales.

Dine NSW is a dining discount card that can be used at establishments that are Dine NSW participants. The following are some of them, but the list is not exhaustive:

  • Restaurants
  • Cafes
  • Bars
  • Wineries
  • Pubs/clubs
  • Takeout and fast food restaurants like KFC, McDonald's, and others )

Discover New South Wales can be utilized for activities relating to the performing arts and outdoor recreation provided that they are booked through a participating business. Examples of these include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Cinemas (Yes You are able to redeem your voucher at both Hoyts and Village, in addition to other venues.
  • Cultural institutions such as museums, galleries, and historical sites
  • Institutions such as zoos, botanical gardens, nature reserves, and wildlife parks
  • Establishments devoted to the performing arts, in addition to theaters and entertainment centers
  • Theme parks, amusement parks, and water parks
  • Transport for scenic and touristic purposes
  • Outdoor adventures
  • Tour operators and travel agencies
  • Activities such as go-karting, indoor climbing, mini-golf, billiards, bowling, or ice-rink skating are examples of recreational activities.

If you have already submitted an application for Dine & Discover NSW, the additional two vouchers will be sent to you either via email, the Service NSW app, or your account after they become available. Voucher Rules:

  • The vouchers for Dine & Discover NSW can be redeemed seven days a week, including on public holidays.
  • Dine & Discover NSW vouchers can only be redeemed at establishments located within NSW that are participating in the program.
  • The voucher will expire on June 30, 2022, and cannot be used after that date.
  • The voucher is not redeemable for cash and cannot be used to purchase alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, participate in gambling activities, or make online purchases (Dine NSW only).
  • Dine and Discover vouchers can only be redeemed once per day at each participating business.
  • You are unable to combine vouchers purchased from Dine NSW and Discover NSW; however, you are able to combine multiple vouchers purchased from the same category (for example, multiple Dine NSW vouchers can be applied to the same bill (provided the restaurant allows splitting the check).
  • Discover New South Wales vouchers and Parents New South Wales vouchers cannot be combined in any way.
