Satisfy Your Cravings with Savory Garlic-Infused BBQ Bugs
Preparing Moreton Bay Bugs for the Barbecue
Impress everyone at your next barbeque gathering with this delicious garlic-infused Moreton Bay bugs recipe. But first, let's start with the preparation.
Step One: Toughen Up
Ready to face the challenge? Take a deep breath, put on your apron, and get your cutting board and knife ready.
Step Two: Remove the Legs
First things first, remove the legs as carefully as possible. Take your time and avoid tearing the meat.
Step Three: Remove the Head
Moving on to the head, cut it off right above where the legs were. Don't forget to scrape off any unwanted bits.
Step Four: Slice Down the Middle
Now, it's time to slice the bug down the middle. Start with the meat and move your way through to the back shell. For tougher shells, you might need a little help from your trusty knife.
Step Five: Make the Marinade
It's time to create the garlic butter marinade. Crush garlic, mix it with butter and microwave for 20 seconds. Voila! A simple yet delicious marinade for your bugs.
Step Six: Cook the Bugs on the Barbecue
Place your bugs on a pre-heated and oiled barbecue with the meat side down for two minutes. Flip them over onto their shells, baste them with the garlic butter marinade and close the lid of the barbecue. After five minutes, your garlic-infused Moreton Bay bugs are ready.
Step Seven: Enjoy!
Serve up your dish and impress all your guests with your cooking skills.
